A Palette is completed when all the Colors have been done. The colors do not have to be done all together or in any particular order. Saturations do not qualify for Palettes.
Choose a national flag with two or more colors and complete any shade of those; when done, include a link to a picture of the flag. If the flag only has two colors, use two lists for one of them.
Complete any four of the Music colors, with at least two of the lists having prompts by the same artist or group.
Complete any three of the music colors. This upgrades to 8-track.
Complete any eight of the music colors. This upgrades to Cassette.
Complete any twelve of the music colors. This upgrades to LP.
Complete any eighteen of the music colors. This upgrades to CD.
Use a pride flag of at least two colors, matching the hues to the colors in the flag. If the flag has only two colors, use two lists for one of them. Colors don't need to match exactly: any blue can match with any shade of blue, etc.
Complete four language colors. This upgrades to Study Notes.
Complete ten language colors. This upgrades to Spelling Bee.
Complete fifteen language colors. This upgrades to OED.
Once you've completed any of these you can request a banner or take one of the generic banners.
Questions & Answers
Upper case of a color refers to the Color list, lower case refers to all shades of that color - they're tagged 'hue: (color)'. Colors and shades are linked appropriately.
Can I complete a Palette multiple times? Yes, as long as none of the Colors are a repeat of the former time (unless you're doing a Retouch of that Color)
Can a completed Color count to more than one Palette? Yes, as long as they're different palettes.
Do Paint-by-Numbers, Bichromatics, and Tapestries count toward Palettes? Absolutely, yes they do. Only Saturations don't count for Palettes
Do specialty colors like 'Golden Globes' count as 'gold' for palettes? No, sorry. Specialty colors are Custom Colors and don't count for palette accomplishments.
For the National Flag or Pride Flag palettes, do the colors have to be the base colors or can it be any shade? It can be any shade; for example if you did the USA flag (red, white, and blue), you could use Scarlet, Angel Cake, and Ultramarine
How does upgrading a Palette work? Complete each Palette in turn and then go to the upgrade. Once the whole series is done, you can go back to the beginning and start again. You may have to do a Retouch of colors to do a Palette series multiple times. For example, Bookshelf (4 literary colors) upgrades to Bookcase (5 more literary colors) which upgrades to Library (6 more literary colors). After completing Library, you'd go back to Bookshelf.
